A common problem in many situations is to identify changes in the statistics of a stochastic process. This paper is concerned with detection of sudden changes in spectral properties. Several detection variables based on the estimated parameters and on the residual signal after inverse filtering have been compared by means of computer simulations. The signals studied were generated by a true AR-process.
