The AN/FMC-2(A) -- a minicomputer-based, interactive-graphics display system that is designed to acquire, process, and display both conventional environmental data and products and environmental satellite data -- is described. The system, a hybrid consisting of a microprocessor-based communications front-end and a minicomputer-based display device, supports acquisition and cataloging of data and products in realtime with simultaneous use of the system for display and manipulation of previously acquired products. The systems' applications functions are illustrated.
