Dielectrically loaded short antennas

The effects of adding high dielectric material to the near zone of electrically short antennas are described. Data were collected with three probes in the 20-200 MHz frequency range. Addition of dielectric material improved the impedance match between the probes and
50-\Omega
measurement systems, relative to nonloaded antennas.
