Application of systolic computer Systola 1024 in image compression process in standard JPEG 2000

This paper presents a systolic realization of the discrete wavelet transform used in JPEG 2000 standard on Systola 1024 computer. A general idea of image compression, JPEG and JPEG 2000 standards, is explained.
