This note presents a general algorithm for parameter identification in lumped linear continuous systems in the formsummin{i=0}max{n} summin{j=0}max{m} a_{icdotj}t^{j}frac{d^{n-i}f(t)}{dt^{n-1}} = summin{i=0}max{n} summin{j=0}max{m} b_{icdotj}t^{j}frac{d^{n-1}r(t)}{dt^{n-i}}from an arbitrary record off(t)andr(t)over an interval of time. The approach is based on treating the process data in terms of Poisson moment functionals (PMF).
