Attention is given to the sequence of linear programs to be solved in the differential-correction algorithm for finding the minimax IIR approximation to a given magnitude-squared frequency response. It is shown that it is possible to exploit the iterative nature of the linear programs involved, and obtain a simplified and efficient computational scheme.
