This paper presents a mathematical analysis of the fundamental circuit on which the operation of dielectric amplifiers depends. The analysis is based on the assumption that the effective hysteresie curve of the amplifier's dielectric material may be represented by a hyperbolic sine function. The cases of resistive and inductive loads are analyzed, and expressions for the steady-state input and output currents are calculated, Prom a consideration of the transient response of the amplifier, an estimate of its time constant is obtained.
