The design and frequency tuning characteristics of a pulsed RF-excited CO2waveguide laser operating at 10 atm are reported. Continuous tunability has been obtained over a 300 GHz wide spectral range from theR(12)to theR(26)line in the 10.4 μm band. The laser output has good temporal and spectral characteristics.
