The ternary solvent system, BaO-BaF2- B2O3has been examined to produce several magnetic bubble garnet films by liquid phase epitaxy. Contrary to the conventional PbO-B2O3solvents, the BaO-BaF2-B2O3Solvents are characterized by negligible volatility and slight toxicity.
