The partial overlay of the intelligent frequency diversity spread spectrum (FDSS) system on a microwave point to point link is studied. The downlink capacity for the FDSS system is then calculated using a model of 24 cells, and the impact of the FDSS system on the microwave link is investigated. The performance of the microwave point to point link and FDSS users is studied. Results show that the overlay is feasible when a good selection of the overlay parameters is done.
