While existing adaptive video streaming schemes are mainly designed for particular congestion control algorithms, a receiver-buffer-driven adaptive streaming scheme is proposed which can be applied in combination with different congestion control algorithms. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme gives satisfactory video quality under various Internet conditions.
