The multiple-critical-pole equiripple rational (MCPER) transfer functions are compared with the elliptic transfer functions in the design of bandpass switched-capacitor (SC) filters realized as a cascade of noninteracting biquads. Filters designed using the two classes of functions are investigated in terms of passband sensitivity, total capacitance, group delay, dynamic range, and noise. The results show that MCPER transfer functions allow the design of SC filters with superior performance, especially lower passband sensitivity
