Power quality has an increasing role in the deregulated electricity supply markets. An EPRI Research Project on assessment of distribution system power quality had collected many power quality data in US utilities to provide a power quality database as a source of benchmarks. This can provide benchmarking of a utility's voltage dip performance level and comparison with international benchmarking studies. This hint provides utilities indices for their system performance of system reliability and power quality. Thus, they can provide system improvement based on the indices. Also, power quality problem affects the power reliability of demand side especially for those bulk tariff consumers or large property management companies since they manage many different properties. Therefore, measurement and collection of power quality data for both supply and demand side are necessary. In this paper, the architecture of designing a Web-based multi-channel power quality monitoring system for a large network is explained and demonstrated.
