Dynamic simulation was performed on a three-phase high Tc superconducting fault current limiter (HTSFCL). A prototype HTSFCL of this type was made and tested. It employs one high Tc superconducting coil, which is connected with the secondary windings of three single-phase transformers. The operating characteristics of the HTSFCL have been investigated. The results are also presented.
