The changes in the technology market over the last few decades provide motivation for a broad investigation and raise several questions. This paper refers to the book, titled "Markets for Technology: Economics of Innovation and Corporate Strategy" by Arora et al. (MIT Press, Cambridge, Mass., (2001)). After reviewing most of the familiar evidence about licensing and other technology transactions, the authors present their best estimates of market size for this type of activity
