Simulation of the "Blowby" effect in an accelerating compact toroid

As a compact toroid is accelerated between two coaxial electrodes, the internal field structure of the compact toroid adjusts in response to the driving flux. If the acceleration force is too strong, the toroid can be pushed outward from the inner electrode causing the accelerating field to "blowby" the toroid. This article reports on computer simulations of a compact toroid as it is accelerated between two coaxial electrodes. In particular, three cases are presented which demonstrate the compact toroid's behavior above and below the "blowby" condition.
