Analysis of a magnetic bearing pair with a permanent magnet excitation

An analysis of the magnetic circuit of magnetic bearings with a permanent magnet excitation is reported. Applicability of analytical, coupled 2D FEM and 3D FEM models for the magnetic field is discussed. The comparison between different methods is given.
