The performance of ESPRIT, TLS-ESPRIT and Unitary-ESPRIT for direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation is evaluated in terms of the mean DOA error. The algorithms are applied at a base station (BS) on the uplink of a W-CDMA (wideband-code division multiple access) signal transmitted by a mobile station (MS) in a number of representative propagation scenarios
