We present and demonstrate a new method for accurately determining the radial component of sea current, using information derived from HF radar returns. The method uses autoregressive modeling and constrains the estimated frequency separation of the first-order Bragg lines to be its required theoretical value of 2√(gf/πc), where f is the radar frequency
