The evolution of the computer from data processor to entertainment source and communications hub will have dramatic implications for both computer architectures, and for the markets they address. New "natural" data types will drive new computer architectures, both evolutions of existing designs, and the opportunity for significant new developments. All will be aimed at meeting the performance requirements of digital entertainment at the price point dictated by consumers.
