Future Internet is a clean-slate research activity in the quest of new networking technologies to overcome the limits of the current Internet. In its experimental research, virtualization and federation are emerging as essential features, especially in the construction and operation of the testbeds. Moreover, they are believed to sustain as the fundamental features of the Future Internet itself.
