-As the penetration of distributed energy resources (DER) in existing conventional grid increases leading to the distributed generation (DG) concept. The use of full scale dynamic simulation to analyze load variation, the frequency and voltage of the power system in DG provides complex tasks to researchers and planners such as huge computational time. This paper introduces modeling approach for power distribution systems using dynamic-RMS method for the electrical part in combination with differential equations to describe the behavior of the mechanical part of the power system. This innovative approach allows the simulation of DG running with a complex load flow including network transmission lines, transformers and losses. The simulation results illustrate this approach has superior advantages in comparison with normal full scale dynamic model since it is faster and needs less computational resources.
