A dynamic window mechanism for the end-to-end flow control in a store-and-forward computer network is proposed based upon a quasi-static model. Window size and time-out are adjusted periodically according to an estimated equivalent subnet channel capacity. Simulation results show that there is significant performance improvement by comparing the proposed scheme with the static one.
