A review of recent developments in statistical signal processing for application to over-the-horizon radar (OTHR) is presented. Three different signal processing issues are considered. The first two issues relate to the radar interference characterisation, namely a Gaussianity test and a K-distribution test. The third issue relates to target detection in clutter based on rank tests. All techniques are applied to simulated as well as real OTHR data
