In the paper analysis of the IEEE 802.11b system performance in typical household environment is presented. Number of experiments with Bluetooth devices as an interference sources are introduced. For the optimization of the throughput frame length adaptation mechanism is applied. An analytical method for finding dynamic fragmentation threshold is also described. Presented method allows for maximizing system throughput in an environment with interferences from alien devices.
