Spectroradiometric analysis of seven types of forest cover (white spruce, trembling aspen, tamarack, balsam fir, black spruce and herbaceous vegetation) in a hyperspectral use perspective to discriminate between forest species was carried out. The preliminary results analysis revealed that the 700 to 1350 nm region was the most appropriate for discriminating between the species compared in this study.
