This correspondence describes three types of matrix symmetries: (transpose) symmetry, centrosymmetry, and persymmetry. Double symmetry is then defined in terms of these three types. Finally, an operation called the cross transpose is proposed to aid in dealing with matrices exhibiting these symmetries.
