A fuzzy controller in switched capacitor (SC) technique has been realized. It is based on an efficient architecture that optimizes the processor in terms of both area and power dissipation. The controller take advantage of two new building blocks for SC fuzzy processing (minimum-maximum and membership function), previously proposed by the authors, and that are very attractive because of their simple structure. The processor was integrated in a 1.2-μm standard complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) technology. It occupies 6-mm2 silicon area and is powered by a 5-V power supply while dissipating only 75 mW. Measurements show good agreement with expected results
