Resource management in a broadband satellite network

We address the problem of resource management over a broadband satellite network explicitly referring to the work done in the framework of the WISDOM project. In particular, after a overview of general requirements of next generation broadband multimedia satellite systems (BMSS), an overview of the WISDOM system is given together with a detailed functional description of modules responsible for traffic management.
