On the excitation of surface and pseudo-surface quasi-bulk waves

An investigation is made of the specific features of the excitation of (pseudo) quasi bulk surface waves. Particular attention is focused on the analysis of wave fields associated with "non-physical" plane wave solutions. As illustrations, numerical computations have been performed for SH-waves and quasi-longitudinal leaky waves in quartz.
