Concurrent complementary operator boundary conditions for optical beam propagation

We have demonstrated the superb performance of the complementary operators method (COM) and its concurrent variant in suppressing reflection from computation boundaries with the finite-difference beam propagation method. We have applied them in modeling linear and nonlinear wave propagation in multidimension. Numerical examples show that C-COM performs better and requires less storage with slightly faster speed in most cases.
