Bandwidth of Complementary Split Ring Resonator for Rectangular Waveguide BPFs

In this letter, the bandwidth characteristics of the complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) are investigated for rectangular waveguide bandpass filter (BPF) applications by changing a split position along the slot of the resonator. Also a modified equivalent circuit representing the CSRR with the split is proposed and explained. The range of 3-dB fractional bandwidth (FBW) from 3.2% to 31% has been found.
