Some Results on Sequential Detection of Weak Signals

In this paper we present a truncated sequential test for the detection of weak signals in additive noise. Performance evacuations for both truncated and untruncated tests are considered, and numerical results are presented. We also develop a sequential rest for weak signal detection with M-level quantization of observed data. Numerical results are presented for the cases when the signal is deterministic, and when the signal is stochastic with known probability density. A performance comparison of the sequential tests using quantized and unquantized data is also provided.
