Triple real dominant pole tuning of a filtered PI controller

This paper deals with an integrated optimal tuning of a two degree of freedom (2DOF) PI controller extended by an nth order binomial low pass filter for a measurement noise attenuation. It analyses and evaluates two modifications of the triple real dominant pole tuning method and discusses possibility of the simplified tuning modification that may be easily applied to filtered PI controller tuning for first order plant with dead time.
