Application Of Eigenstrugture Based Bispectrum Estimation: Eeg Wave Coupling In Cognitive Tasks

An orthogonal subspace-based approach for two dimensional sinusoids can be applied to the bispectrum and the estimation of the frequencies of quadratically phase coupled sinusoids. The method determines peaks in the bispectral domain by the direct partitioning of noise and signal subspaces without the need for transfer function parametrization. It can be used for determining domainant frequencies involved in EEG alpha wave coupling.
