Practical experience in the Sony Disassemly Evaluation Workshop

The Sony Disassembly Evaluation Workshop is an assessment project aimed at evaluating disassembling and recycling qualities of electronic products. Assessment outcomes should lead to a better integration of disassembling aspects in new products. Since 1995, different product groups have been examined. This paper describes the principles the evaluation methodology is based on, the structure of the process and the documentation, and gives some practical examples of evaluated designs.
