A 1.15V low power mobile ISDB-Tsb/Tmm/T and DVB-T tuner SoC in 40nm CMOS

A high-performance and low-power tuner SoC for mobile ISDB-Tsb/Tmm/T and DVB-T is presented. New phase correction circuits and digital gain control technique are introduced into LNA for precisely adjusting both gain step and phase shift over a wide dynamic range, resulting in a stable reception of 64QAM OFDM signals in mobile radio environment. In addition, a low-power harmonic rejection mixer with digital calibration is also implemented to suppress 3
^rd
and 5
^th
harmonics. The fabricated SoC tuner achieves an NF of 2.0dB at UHF band and the total power consumption of 53mW and 128mW at 1.15V supply voltage with digital baseband for ISDB-T 1 segment and 12 seg ments respectively.
