Gass, Hajimiri, Hurst, Matsuzawa, and Young elected to SSCS AdCom

The SSCS membership has reelected Wanda Gass to its Administrative Committee (AdCom), and chosen Ali Hajimiri, Paul J. Hurst, Akira Matsuzawa and Ian Young to join it as voting members beginning 1 January 2006. The AdCom is responsible for overseeing Society technical activities, conferences and publications, and for initiating, developing and managing all new Society activities. Charlie Sodini, the chair of the nominating committee commented that their committee recruited individuals with a broad understanding of the field and its working engineers. Ballots were mailed to higher level members September 1. The election closed on October 14 and the official tally was reported to the Society on October 20.
