a vector algebra was developed using a three-element column matrix to represent the vector, and a three-by-three matrix to represent a vector transformation operator. Problems in spherical trigonometry were analyzed with the use of a position vector, and the design of automatic computers to solve such problems was considered. In Part 2, the angular velocity vector is introduced for the purpose of analyzing and designing geometric stabilization systems.
