"Compulsory Corporate Chapel" Must Professional Development be "Politically Correct"?

This paper describes the impact of "political correctness" (PC) on the in-house training programs instituted by many corporations, in recent years. These "corporate compulsory chapel" programs often aggressively assert the PC position, a form of indoctrination antithetic to the professional tradition. The paper calls upon the Professional Societies to recognize the danger to professional development posed by the PC proponents and suggests means to counter them by monitoring and critiquing such programs especially when they endeavor to set forth an understanding of professional development and careers.
