Metallization of plastics for shielding

For a satisfactory performance in accordance with EMC, every electrical and electronic equipment requires a housing, which offers adequate protection related to radiated emissions, as well as immunity against electromagnetic fields acting from outside. For this purpose plastic housings were metallized with a variety of metals by various technologies. These housings have been evaluated in view of their shielding efficiency and environmental considerations of the production process.
