Decoding real DFT codes: activity detection, Wiener estimation

Real number cyclic codewords corrupted by possibly a few large excursions and low levels of roundoff noise in all positions are decoded. The correction algorithm uses a Wiener minimum mean-squared error estimator coupled with an activity detector which only indicates a few positions with large error components. One form of this activity selector employs a modified Berlekamp-Massey algorithm.
