The history of radio recounted on the pages of Nautical collected works (1885–1918)

The cradle out of which the home-base radio originated is the Russian naval forces. While radio as a system of sending sound messages over a certain distance was developing primarily as the commercial project, in Russia, radioteleg-raphy was closely allied to the Navy. One of the key sources that provides the historical background of the home-base fleet is the journal «Nautical collected works». The present communication carries the survey of articles dealing with the historical records of radio engineering, which were published in the «Nau-tical collected works» dated 1885 through 1918.
