Beam propagation method modelling of optical filters based on tapered fibres

This paper reports the modelling of tapered fibre filters using the beam propagation method (BPM) for solving the corresponding propagation equation. The results of the numerical approach are compared with the experiments by using simulation parameters related to the fabrication process.
