AI based agriculture support system with precisely deployed versatile sensors and sensor network

Agriculture industry is fundamental and essential for existence of human beings. On the other hand, agriculture industry is facing serious problems of food shortages due to rapid population increase, sharp decrease of farm land due to greenhouse warming and desertification and diversion of agricultural product into new energy resource. To solve these problems, use of sensors, agricultural information from sensors and sensor networks are being introduced. We are developing AI based Agriculture support system with precisely deployed versatile sensors and sensor network. Our objectives are to develop and deploy practical agriculture support system with precisely deployed versatile sensors and sensor network and to verify its functionality and effectiveness in actual field. The experiment of new system has started in a rose nursery in Hiroshima Japan. This project is funded by Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Japan. The project started in 2109 and will end in 2011.
