Impedance characteristics of circular microstrip patches

Effects of the feed probe an the size of the ground plane on the resonant frequency as well as the input impedance of a microstrip patch antenna are investigated. Measured data are provided for the first few modes. A method for cancellation of the unwanted modes is proposed and examined.<
