Circuit design for Brain Stimulation and transmitter sensing

Simultaneous stimulation and sensing of neurochemicals and electrophysiological field potentials is very useful in studying the brain activity. The aim of the paper is to design a prototype circuit board that can be used in in-vitro experiments, and provide medical researchers with capability to simultaneously stimulate brain activity and to sense the reaction as a function of the applied stimulation. This paper will consist of design of a printed circuit board for stimulation (current sources) and sensors (current measurement) using discrete components, such as operational amplifiers.
