Numerical analysis of permanent magnet DC motor performances

The paper presents a numerical procedure based on the finite element method to determine the performance of ferrite-type permanent magnet DC motors. Magnetic saturation, armature displacement and temperature effects were considered in the computation of the torque variation with respect to angular position.
