On the utilization of packet reservation multiple access (PRMA) technique in satellite systems

Packet reservation multiple access (PRMA) is being developed in the framework of the RACE A-TDMA study as one of the two candidate access techniques, together with code division multiple access (CDMA), for third generation mobile systems. The paper deals with the topic of applying PRMA techniques to satellite systems.<
