Requirements for radio-wave photonic devices from the viewpoint of future mobile radio systems

Air interfaces of mobile communication are spreading widely because of diversified service demands, technology trends, and radio propagation conditions. This paper proposes the Radio High-way Network, which universally supports any mobile services and any mobile radio air-interface. As one example of the network, we analyze the optical TDMA signals for radio and show some requirements for radio-wave photonic devices.<
